Delete Your You OK Account

This page allows you to request permanent deletion of your You OK account and associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

Follow these steps to permanently delete your You OK account:

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the You OK app on your device
  2. Go to Profile/Settings (tap your profile icon)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm deletion in the warning dialog
  5. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately

This is the fastest way to delete your account and all associated data.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to: youok@bendralm.com
  2. Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include in your email:
    • Your registered email address
    • Your username (if you remember it)
    • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
  4. We will process your request within 7 business days
  5. You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your You OK account, the following data is permanently removed:

Immediately Deleted Data

  • Profile Information: Username, email address, profile settings
  • Check-in History: All your past check-ins and schedules
  • Friend Connections: All friend relationships and connections
  • Device Tokens: Push notification tokens and device information
  • App Preferences: All your app settings and preferences
  • Authentication Data: Login credentials and session information

Data Retention Period

  • Most Data: Deleted immediately upon account deletion
  • Backup Systems: Data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days for system recovery purposes
  • Legal Compliance: Some anonymized usage statistics may be retained for regulatory compliance (no personal identifiers)
  • Email Communications: Previous support emails may be retained for customer service records

What Happens to Your Friends

  • You will be removed from all your friends' networks
  • Your friends will no longer see your check-in status
  • Any pending friend requests involving you will be cancelled
  • Your friends will receive a notification that you've left their network

Important Information

Before You Delete Your Account

  • Account deletion is permanent - You cannot recover your account once deleted
  • No data recovery - We cannot restore your check-in history or friend connections
  • Inform your network - Consider letting your friends/family know before deleting
  • Alternative options - You can temporarily disable notifications instead of deleting

Processing Timeline

  • In-App Deletion: Immediate (within minutes) - you'll see confirmation in the app
  • Email Requests: Processed within 7 business days - you'll receive email confirmation
  • Form Submissions: Processed within 7 business days - you'll receive email confirmation
